Founded in 2005, the Atlanta Black Chambers (ABC) has grown into a robust network of over 1,200 members, extending far beyond Atlanta’s city limits. Under the leadership of CEO and President Melvin Coleman, ABC continues to be a vital platform for Black entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to connect, grow, and thrive in the competitive business landscape.

A Growing Community of Influencers and Innovators

With an average of 30 new members joining each month, ABC adds approximately 360 new members annually, reflecting the organization’s steady and vibrant growth. Members are not only based in Atlanta but also hail from surrounding metropolitan areas, other states, and even internationally, including the continents of Africa and South America. As a hub for Black business owners, ABC has become the go-to organization for those looking to establish connections in Atlanta, regardless of their geographic location.

A Legacy of Leadership and Vision

ABC’s legacy is built on solid leadership. The organization’s founder, Michael T. Hill, now serves as the president of the ABC Foundation, the organization’s 501(c)(3) arm dedicated to supporting educational initiatives and community development. Meanwhile, former ABC President Markee Tate leads Advancing Black Business, the Political Action Community, emphasizing the importance of advocacy and policy influence for Black entrepreneurs.

Empowering Through Connection and Collaboration

The heart of ABC’s success lies in its ability to connect members and foster meaningful relationships. ABC keeps its members informed and engaged through a robust communications strategy, including newsletters and virtual roundtables. The Virtual Round Table Tuesday Talks, held every Tuesday via Zoom at 8:30 a.m., is one of the organization’s most popular events, averaging over 250 participants weekly. This platform allows members to discuss business strategies, share resources, and build valuable connections.

Supporting Women Business Owners

A standout aspect of ABC is its dedication to supporting women entrepreneurs, who make up 67% of its membership. This commitment is led by Michelle Glover, the chair of ABC’s largest affinity group, which provides targeted support and resources to female business owners. ABC empowers women to lead and succeed in their respective industries through mentorship, networking, and educational programs.

A Beacon for Black Business Success

The Atlanta Black Chambers is more than just a networking organization; it’s a vital ecosystem for Black entrepreneurs and professionals. With its expansive reach, diverse programming, and unwavering commitment to connecting and empowering its members, ABC plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Black business in Atlanta and beyond. As the organization grows, it remains dedicated to fostering economic growth, advocating for its members, and building a stronger community of Black business leaders.

Whether you’re an established business owner or an emerging entrepreneur, connecting with the Atlanta Black Chambers can open doors to new opportunities, strategic partnerships, and a vibrant community that champions Black business success.
