I am both honored and deeply moved to be nominated as a Woman of Impact in the Go Red for Women campaign. This cause has taken on an intensely personal meaning for me since last year, when I lost my best friend and biggest supporter—my mom—to a heart attack. Losing her was like losing a part of myself, and since then, I know I haven’t been the same.
My mom was a vibrant, caring woman who always put others before herself. She had a contagious laugh and a boundless love for her family and friends. People would often ask or say, “She didn’t look sick,” or “Did you know she was sick? It’s so sudden…” In my moment of sorrow, I couldn’t muster the strength to educate others on how sudden heart attacks can be. Heart disease has touched all the women in my family, but we never talk about it, and I want that to change for my family and yours.
I often think of the “if onlys”—if only we’d known more about heart disease in women, if only we’d recognized the signs, if only we talked about it more as a family, if only I had seen past her strength, if only she could be here to support me on this journey today.

As a Woman of Impact, I’m not only raising funds but also advocating for awareness. Heart disease is the number one killer of women, yet many of us don’t recognize the symptoms until it’s too late. Through this campaign, I hope to spread the word and equip others with the knowledge and resources that could have made a difference for my mom. Her heart may have stopped, but her love and spirit live on in every step I take with this campaign.
This journey is for her and for all women—mothers, daughters, and friends. I’m incredibly excited to use my voice and my platform to make a lasting impact. It’s my way of honoring her memory, sharing her love, and helping to create a future where fewer families experience this kind of loss. Thank you for supporting me, and for supporting a cause that now means everything to me.
With heartfelt love,
